<summary>Is it possible to succeed in every trade with Chartprime?</summary>

No indicator, algorithm, system, or approach can guarantee the ability to accurately predict market movements with complete certainty. We are a reputable supplier of both free and paid indicators; however, premium indicators alone cannot ensure profitability or improve your trading or investing skills. We advise against relying solely on any indicator. Trading carries inherent risks, with the majority of day traders experiencing losses, and past success does not guarantee future results.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZNJgjKGbGc&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

The Market Oracle focuses on overlay analysis of traders' charts. This includes, but is not limited to, signals, custom moving averages, reversal zones, and other advanced methodologies. The following pages cover each of these features in more detail.

# Trend Signals

Our trend (or trendy) signals are one of the most iconic features of ChartPrime. These adaptable and low-lag signals analyze market trends and provide simple buy, sell, or strong indications on candles.

A buy signal indicates that the market is in an uptrend.

A sell signal indicates that the market is in a downtrend.

A strong signal indicates that the market is strongly trending, appearing red if the trend is downward and green if it’s upward.

![signals.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/ROeJVMuTPIrTUlX92jOH/signals%20e81e13ee70432aba76e3b0618e929e2d.png)
:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                             *Trend Signals in action*

{% hint style="warning" %}
These signals should not be used blindly and are only an indication of a trend change. We strongly recommend using these signals in conjunction with other forms of technical analysis to create a more comprehensive view of the market.
{% endhint %}

In addition to trend signals, take profit checks are provided. If the market is becoming overbought or oversold, a check will appear, suggesting a good opportunity to take profit on a position.

#### Optimization

There are two main approaches to optimizing your signals:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Adjust tuning via settings

Users can adjust and optimize via the tuning input in the settings. In the bottom right of the screen, you will find an "Optimal Tuning" dashboard that provides backtested settings yielding the best results over the asset's history. This is subject to change.

Advantages:

* Uses a fixed value to ensure a reliable and repeatable strategy.

Disadvantages:

* The algorithm may be less flexible and dynamic to market changes or movements.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Auto Pilot

Using the Auto Pilot can provide a more dynamic and versatile approach to optimization. By enabling this feature, our signal generation algorithm can dynamically adjust its tuning input to respond to ranging or trending markets.

Users can adjust the frequency settings between low and high according to their preferences:

* Choose high frequency to favor more frequent signals.
* Choose low frequency to favor fewer signals.
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

![opti.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/ttajTof6Mjz6KLjWlESf/opti%20effa541e69a03fae5ea3658ccbed624b.png)
:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                           *Optimization options*

Read more about optimization here: [Optimization in detail](/market-oracle/optimizing-your-signals).

Choosing an optimization method is personal, and each method can benefit different traders in various ways. We encourage traders to test both approaches to see which they prefer before committing to an optimization technique.

{% hint style="info" %}
Optimizing can introduce overfitting into a system, especially when manually entering backtested settings. Be cautious of bias!
{% endhint %}

#### Take Profits

Take profit labels in the form of ticks are provided. These offer real-time suggestions from our algorithm on when it might be a good time to take profit.

* Purple tick: average take profit zone (safer area).
* Red tick: above-average take profit potential (could be an excellent opportunity to take profits).
* MP label: Maximum Profit, suggesting that trends may be about to reverse and this might be the last chance to achieve maximum profits.

{% hint style="info" %}
There are many ways to take profit with ChartPrime. The provided take profit feature serves only as an assistant. For instance, traders could take profit when the price reaches a support/resistance zone.
{% endhint %}

# Optimizing Your Signals

As previously mentioned on the Trend Signals page, there are two main approaches to optimizing your signals:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Optimal Tuning

The "Optimal Tuning" feature, accessible in the settings menu (located at the bottom right of the screen), provides users with a way to refine their trading approach. This tool offers a set of backtested settings that have historically yielded the best outcomes for a particular asset.

* Advantage: Consistency — allows traders to implement a stable and repeatable strategy.
* Drawback: Reduced adaptability to rapid market changes, since the algorithm operates on a fixed set of parameters.
  {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Auto Optimizer

The "Auto Optimizer" offers a more fluid and adaptable optimization strategy. When activated, this feature allows the signal generation algorithm to automatically adjust its parameters in response to market conditions (trending or ranging).

* Users can control the frequency of adjustments (low to high).
  * High frequency → more frequent trading signals (for more active traders).
  * Low frequency → fewer signals (for more conservative or longer-term strategies).
* Users can also choose what to optimize for: win rate or profit and loss.
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/acMduEFYXDMAqBKdLoIX/opti2%20f570f6c5dbfe589e21962f7230fea16d.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Optimization options displayed</em></p></figcaption></figure>

When using the Auto Optimizer, users can select the speed of adjustments (fast vs. slow) to match their desired behavior (e.g., scalping vs. longer-term). You can also adjust whether the optimizer focuses on win rate or profit and loss to tailor optimization to your goals.

{% hint style="info" %}
High win rates do not equal high profits.

A high win rate can still produce net losses if losing trades are much larger than winning trades (for example, winning $1 in many trades but losing $20 in one trade). Be mindful of this classic trap.
{% endhint %}

Ultimately, the choice between these two optimization methods depends on the trader's preferences and style. It's recommended to experiment with both techniques to determine which aligns best with your trading objectives before settling on a specific approach. Users may also choose not to optimize and simply select a setting they prefer to use when in confluence.

Alternatively, the ChartPrime Auto Maximizer will automatically apply a backtested parameter and display the "best performing signals" on your chart. You can choose between high frequency and low frequency signals here:

* High frequency → more frequent signals.
* Low frequency → fewer signals that emphasize larger market moves.

It's important to remember that no matter how optimized signals may be, they will never guarantee profits. Avoid "tail chasing" behaviors in search of perfect settings. The tool aims to achieve the best possible configurations to assist traders, but using optimized signals as part of a larger system and strategy is always the best approach.

# Candle Highlighting

#### Trend Gradient

The Trend Gradient applies a gradient color to the bars, ranging from green (in an uptrend) to red (in a downtrend).

A strong green color implies that the market is heavily uptrending, while a more mild green/purple suggests that the market is weaker or ranging. A strong red color indicates that the market is heavily downtrending, and a more mild red/purple suggests a weaker trend or, again, a ranging market.

![Trend Gradient with clean color transitions displaying trends](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/3qefzHHyW9FMnIW6BrjS/trendgradient%207b56ec2f60ef98b6c8eacd74b8a8e8b8.png)

The disadvantage of the gradient mode is that there are no distinct boundaries, making it harder to use for rule-based trading. However, its strengths lie in the clarity it can provide to a user's chart. A clean, simple gradient at a glance can give an easy overview of the market's state. ChartPrime has designed this gradient to draw traders' attention to more important and notable price action, helping them focus on relevant market points rather than market chop.

***

#### Trend Static

The Trend Static mode takes a more straightforward approach. Using only green and red colors (green for uptrend and red for downtrend) allows traders to see the market's trend clearly. This provides fixed boundaries and color changes based on trend direction, making it better for rule-based trading. However, this mode may struggle in ranging markets with no defined trends.

![Trend Static with only red and green bars giving a clear indication of trends](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/jE0rHEdfmNoePidRKO0w/trendstatic%2007855dfa847dc65e95ae3f4e4febe47d.png)

This color mode would be more useful as part of a larger system.

Therefore

Candle colors are generally best used as assistive tools.

***

#### Volume Gradient

The Volume Gradient mode focuses on higher volume bars. This mode calculates bull and bear volume in real-time and highlights the candles that have significant volume while also exhibiting strong bullish volume.

![Volume Gradient with purple candles highlighting high volume bars](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/hrcRd4nBqRclT6KaIeWo/volumebars%20dc834d8847666c7644980856a2b7b00e.png)

These candle coloring modes are all explained in this video:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrXLi0sSQlo>" %}

# Reversal Signals

The reversal signals found in ChartPrime take a contrarian approach to signal generation. Rather than following the trend, they attempt to predict reversals. When enabled alongside trend signals, they will appear blue to reduce confusion.

Confluence

Use these signals to assist you in your trading rather than blindly following them.

> A green reversal signal indicates that the market may bounce upwards (following a downward trend), while a red reversal signal suggests that the market may bounce downwards (following an upward trend).

![Real-time tops and bottoms](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/ytjmUDK8MfYy9vPw9NcQ/reversals%206d40adb902d2dc7e87cf2ac92647a458.png)

*Real-time tops and bottoms*

The algorithm used to calculate these signals is finely tuned, so the frequency of these signals cannot be adjusted. We recommend using them as part of a broader strategy, such as combining divergence and reversal signal confluence.

These signals are particularly effective in a ranging market characterized by significant price fluctuations. Here, they can serve as a great alternative to trend signals, which require established trends. In a trending market, reversal signals may struggle to accurately identify reversal points.

{% hint style="info" %}
Use each signal mode correctly and selectively depending on market conditions. Predicting real-time tops and bottoms is one of the most challenging tasks for traders—these signals will not predict reversals perfectly every time.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you choose to use these signals for entries, employ a reasonable trade setup and set appropriate stop losses rather than relying on the signals alone.
{% endhint %}

# Additional Tools

These tools add extra context to Market Oracle signals.

Use them for confluence, not as standalone trade triggers.

* **Reactors**: trend bias + dynamic support/resistance.
* **Trend Assistant**: trend-following line you can trail stops against.
* **Momentum Wave Bands / VWAP Channel**: mean reversion and reversal zones.
* **Candlestick Structures**: pattern labels with market-activity filtering.
* **Prime Ranges / Dashboard**: volume-weighted zones and quick market reads.

### Dynamic Reactor

A trend band that also behaves like dynamic support/resistance. This tool also has full multi timeframe functionality allowing users to load reactors from different timeframes on the chart.

![The Dynamic Reactor showing trend identification](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/uLbpaNo9F3KWhkeuvCgz/reactor%20d83aa0e5c2b48d8c06a4b63046880f9b.png)

{% hint style="info" %}
Treat the band like a “center of gravity”.

The further price stretches away from it, the stronger the snap-back risk.
{% endhint %}

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJAO7-hR6Eo>" %}

#### How to read it

* Price **above** the band → bullish bias.
* Price **below** the band → bearish bias.

#### How to use it

* Use it as a bias filter for [Trend Signals](/market-oracle/trend-signals).
* Use band interactions as potential support/resistance reactions.
* Favor longs when you have a buy signal **and** price stays above the band.

***

### Volume Flex Reactor

Like the Dynamic Reactor, but it adapts using volume.

It expands during higher volatility and anchors around meaningful volume areas.

![The Volume Reactor showing trend identification and its support and resistance capabilities](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/8LkSSULq52PQWPhxZRjq/volumereactor%20d4d92c829d66647f7340edaf6a9e1c60.png)

#### How to use it

* Use it the same way as the Dynamic Reactor.
* Prioritize it when volume context matters for your setup.

***

### The Prime Trend Assistant

A trend-following line that acts like dynamic support/resistance.

It’s green in uptrends and red in downtrends.

![Trend Assistant guiding price action](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/BZaUWrmERQMZSKlA3SQZ/trendassist%20d751932d9d4f94f715559006f6b98e7d.png)

#### How to use it

* Use it as a **trailing stop guide** during a trend.
* Watch for bounces to confirm support/resistance in-trend.
* Combine it with [Trend Signals](/market-oracle/trend-signals) and Reactors for stacked confirmation.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qArs1-4YM8U>" %}

***

### Momentum Wave Bands

Momentum-based bands that highlight potential reversal zones.

They’re conceptually similar to Bollinger Bands, but tuned for momentum/noise.

![Momentum Wave Bands showing Support and Resistance levels](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/PS0fMrKWWCxAg5UcWjK1/reversalzones%20eef903883ea843307d754039dc0fb20e.png)

#### How to read it

* Zones are colored green/red to reflect direction.
* **Inner zone** → softer “stretch”.
* **Outer zone** → higher-probability reversal area (bigger deviation).

Pair this with [Reversal Signals](/market-oracle/reversal-signals) when you want extra confirmation.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsBejdkq1PI>" %}

***

### Candlestick Structures

Pattern labels that filter classic candlestick setups through market activity.

They work best at key levels (for example, price at resistance + bearish pattern).

Supported patterns include:

* **EG (Engulfing)**: candle body fully eclipses the prior candle body.
* **Hammer**: reversal candle with a long wick.
* **RTM (Rising Three Methods)**: bullish continuation sequence in an uptrend.
* **FTM (Falling Three Methods)**: bearish continuation sequence in a downtrend.
* **Bullish / Bearish Soldier**: three strong candles that can signal reversal.
* **Morning / Evening Star**: 3‑candle reversal (big → small → big opposite).

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG4TGsDQGys>" %}

***

### Prime Ranges

Volume-weighted support/resistance levels with a trend-following bias.

TradingView must provide volume data for the asset.

#### How to read it

* Ranges mark high-volume areas where reactions are more likely.
* Color reflects macro bias: green = uptrend, red = downtrend.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRPy-quj9rw>" %}

***

### VWAP Channel

Swing-based VWAP bands that map potential mean reversion zones.

#### What it plots

* Upper and lower VWAP bands that start from detected swing highs/lows.
* Labels showing swing prices and band start points.

#### Signals

* **Sell**: `▼` when price re-enters the channel from above the upper band.
* **Buy**: `▲` when price re-enters the channel from below the lower band.
* **Mean reversion touch**: `⬥` when price interacts with VWAP bands.
* **Reset warning**: `⚠️` when bands are about to reset to new swing points.

#### Settings you can tune

* Channel width.
* Calculation length.
* Which warnings/signals to show.

#### Best use

* Mean reversion strategies.
* Spotting extensions and fade opportunities back toward VWAP.
* Avoiding entries during resets (use the warning marker).

***

### The ChartPrime Dashboard

A quick “at a glance” panel for market context.

You can move it and resize it in settings.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Optimal Tuning

Backtested settings using \~500 bars of data.

Use it to quickly tune signals per market and timeframe.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Prime Score

Sentiment score from 1–10.

1 is very bearish. 10 is very bullish.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Consolidation Score

Ranging score from 1–10.

Higher values mean more chop and less clean trend.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Prophecy

Directional “pump/dump” bias based on internal criteria.

Use it as a confluence check, not a signal.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

# Alerts

The Market Oracle toolkit allows traders to set alerts for multiple events, including but not limited to:

* Buy Signals + Strong Buy
* Sell Signals + Strong Sell
* Take Profits
* Reversal Signals
* Candlestick patterns
* Reactor
* Trend Assistant

Using the built-in alert functionality in TradingView, you can set alerts by following these steps:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Select Alert Conditions and Timeframe

First, navigate to the timeframe and chart where you want to set alerts. For example, if you want to set alerts on the BTCUSD 4‑hours chart, open this chart.

Next, open the settings for the indicator by double-clicking on a signal label or clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner. Scroll to the bottom of the settings.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/N7DljiApRCdWji0GoPhU/alertsoracle1%20c9b7ec4d48a0e7e199ea18d85e5f123f.png)

*Select alert conditions*

Here, you will see checkboxes. Select the conditions for which you want to receive alerts. For example, if you want alerts whenever a strong buy or sell signal appears, select "Strong Buy" and "Strong Sell," as shown above.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Creating the Alert

Click the "Alarm" icon, as shown in the image below.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/t1C4Bq6FaSIZK2IDy48a/alertsoracle2%2031feb468f0fe8abf301db6af5bf2f921.png)

*Open the alerts menu*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

*Setting the alert*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Manage the Alert

Your alert will now appear in the alerts menu. Here, you can manage the alert, delete it, or pause it.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/LQznyOHLIVHdf0rGMTGu/alertsoracle4%203d326652a3e50c82058b1e8f0abaab38.png)

*Managing the alert*

TradingView alerts remember the settings used at the time of creation. To set another alert, change the chart and settings, then repeat this process. This will not override your existing alerts. To edit an alert and its settings, you will need to delete the old one and recreate it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

# Pattern Detection

#### Pattern Detection

The ChartPrime pattern detection tool offers unique insights into pattern structures, targets, and breakouts.

Users can select which patterns they want displayed and identified on their charts. Available patterns include:

* Wedges
* Triangles
* Channels
* Swing Fail

Once a pattern is identified, traders will see its name labeled vertically, along with a dot indicating the breakout point, as shown below:

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/T4Tot4pkPmuCEFkicHem/patternsbreak%200d79c4a726a2665a4d20f18d3353c8b4.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Pattern breakout with real-time targets</em></p></figcaption></figure>

#### Settings

Traders can customize the number of historical patterns visible on their charts through the maximum wedges input. The wedge detection dropdown allows traders to specify the scale of the patterns identified. For example, selecting “small” will display short-term patterns, while “macro” will analyze a larger number of bars to show larger patterns.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/abCNvfyTxsFKoWGrExjo/patternssettings%20ea2814e9e6eac2a9e9b83e7b437dd1a0.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Settings provided for pattern customization</em></p></figcaption></figure>

#### Extend

Traders can enable an extend mode to forecast the pattern’s support and resistance levels, which serves as potential future targets.

**Targets**

The targets can be derived using classical measurement rules or our smart targets based on volatility. This feature provides actionable insights and targets for traders to aim for. Traders can also display historical patterns and customize colors through the settings.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Targets for patterns are not guaranteed. ChartPrime calculates them based on analysis, but it doesn’t ensure they will be hit.
{% endhint %}

**Breaks**

The channels in Market Dynamics also indicate breaks, with labels that include:

* LV: Low Volume
* MV: Medium Volume
* HV: High Volume
* AAL: Above Average Length — an extension of the channel indicates an imminent breakout.

Traders can customize how a pattern is drawn, choosing to base patterns on either the wicks of candles or the bodies. The buffer zone option allows patterns to be represented as zonal plots, providing reasonable areas of abnormal price activity before a pattern is considered broken.

To learn how to maximize the potential of pattern detection, watch the video below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av6Waram7m4>" %}

#### Pattern Definitions

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Wedges

Description: A wedge pattern is characterized by converging trendlines that slope either upward (rising wedge) or downward (falling wedge). It signals a potential trend reversal or continuation.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Triangles

Description: Triangles are formed by connecting a series of highs and lows with trendlines, creating a triangular shape. Common types include ascending, descending, and symmetrical triangles, which suggest potential breakouts or breakdowns.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Channels

Description: Channel patterns consist of parallel trendlines drawn along the highs and lows of an asset’s price movements. Channels can be ascending (uptrend), descending (downtrend), or horizontal (sideways), indicating a defined price range for the asset.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Swing Fail

Description: This pattern occurs when an asset attempts to break through a significant support or resistance level but fails to maintain the breakout, often leading to a reversal in the opposite direction. Traders monitor swing fails as they can indicate shifts in market sentiment.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Patterns are not guaranteed structures. It’s important to use confluence when trading them.
{% endhint %}

# Market Structure

The Market Dynamics Pro Toolkit offers market structure analysis indicators through BOS/CHoCH analysis.

A valid break of structure occurs when the market moves in either an uptrend or a downtrend, forming a structure. This happens when a market high or low is locally broken, as explained below.

### Volume Analysis

The Market Dynamics Toolkit enhances this analysis by providing volume insights on these breaks, helping traders assess the strength of the break. These are displayed as colored circles above the break label: a red circle indicates bearish volume, a yellow circle suggests neutral volume, and green circles indicate bullish volume. Identifying confluence at these breaks can be an excellent analytical approach.

There are two types of market structures labeled in Market Dynamics Pro: BOS and CHOCH.

* BOS (Break Of Structure) is a continuation pattern. When a BOS appears, it suggests that the market will continue in the indicated direction. For example, a BOS in an uptrend indicates that the uptrend is likely to persist, as the previous higher high or lower low has been broken.
* CHOCH (Change Of Character) is a reversal label. This occurs when the market breaks a higher low or a lower high, indicating a shift in the market’s character or attitude. Blue diamonds represent a bullish structure, while red diamonds indicate a bearish structure.

{% hint style="info" %}
Looking for these green dots can help you identify stronger market breakouts and avoid fakeouts.
{% endhint %}

As mentioned, a CHoCH occurs when the market reverses direction due to breaking a higher high or lower low, as demonstrated below:

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/WVJSS0jUTxPioB7cPjfV/choch%202cb8693dff713d4056b19356d62b98c9.png)
:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                      *Volume Dots with Market Structure*

Most importantly, ChartPrime provides volume analysis on these formations, enabling traders to distinguish between a genuine reversal and a weak “fake reversal.” This helps traders avoid taking profits too early or flipping their biases.

### Extra Data

Classical market swing points are clearly labeled on the chart using the HH (Higher High) and LL (Lower Low) labels. An HH label indicates that the market has made a higher high, suggesting a continuation of the upward trend. Conversely, an LL label shows that the market has made a lower low, indicating a potential continuation of the downward trend. The price at each pivot point is displayed, which can serve as a support/resistance level or a future take-profit area.

A full explanation of market structure labels is provided below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdct0y_2-DU&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

The PC at each of these HH or LL labels represents the percentage change between these points, which can be an interesting metric to observe. A higher or abnormally high value suggests a strongly trending market that may need to cool off, while a low value may indicate a ranging market that could explode at any moment.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/yzhhYaquXNVt2OdX18ZA/marketstruct%200428e41ecef552fef065cf3f9323aac3.png)
:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                               *Market Structure Labels*

Double Top and Double Bottom patterns are also labeled as market structures. Commonly referred to as M or W patterns, these signify reversals in the market. When the price revisits a similar area twice, it is hypothesized that a reversal may occur from that level. In Market Dynamics Pro, this is displayed using DT (Double Top) or DB (Double Bottom) labels.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/winLd7IPqPqXHNpkN93w/db%2005d1356a208e9ba2aa42344e8335c6a7.png)
:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                            *Double Bottom Label*

Real time

These DT and DP labels are not 100% real-time and may be delayed by a few bars. This is because you cannot know a top has occurred until it has occurred.

### Settings on Market Structures

Users can adjust the length of these market structures to change their sensitivity to potential market moves. A higher value filters out more noise, while a lower value is more sensitive. Traders will also notice internal and swing options in the settings. Internal market structures simply operate on a lower length and are more sensitive to market moves whereas swing are more macro structures in the market.

### Candle Coloring

Next to the market structure inputs there is a MSC check box. Enabling this turns on candle coloring according to candle structures.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/arPpJLzNRKk3v6iMpkDN/marketcolors%201ec7f0100586e220d72582605976aa75.png)
:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                      *Market Structure Candle Coloring Settings*

Using this feature to follow market trends can provide powerful confirmation and a clearer overview of SMC (Smart Money Concepts) compared to labels on a chart. When using this, we suggest “bringing the indicator to the front” to enhance the visibility of candle coloring. This can offer unique advantages, as the distinct candle colors (rather than gradient colors) are ideal for rule-based entries.

# Order Blocks

### What Order Blocks show

Order Blocks highlight price zones where volume clusters. They help you spot likely support/resistance and decision points. They also work well as TP/SL reference areas.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/313JcisfHyCBuUwTd42r/orderblocks%206fdb2d274c17c2b8e86538c9894067e1.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Order Blocks on chart</em></p></figcaption></figure>

### Strength levels (Soft / High / Loud)

Order Blocks are grouped into three strength levels. Higher strength blocks are usually more meaningful.

{% columns %}
{% column %}

#### Soft

Lowest strength. More frequent. Best used as minor, “in-the-noise” levels.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

#### High

Mid strength. Good default for most setups. Often respected during normal market conditions.
{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

#### Loud

Highest strength. Less frequent. Best used for bias and key levels.
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

{% hint style="info" %}
If the chart feels cluttered, start with **High** + **Loud** only.
{% endhint %}

### How to read an Order Block

Each block can show two metrics. They answer different questions.

#### Relative % of Volume

This is a **normalized** share of volume across the blocks shown. The values add up to **100%**. Higher % means the block stands out versus others.

#### Data + Volume

This is the **raw** volume value contributing to that block.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/GnyCwyebuW4P9D5KhTLH/obmetrics%204e0e735d7929ee14ca7aa243021d3d55.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Block metrics, bullish vs bearish split, and volume delta</em></p></figcaption></figure>

The green/red bar shows the bullish vs bearish volume split. The **Δ (delta)** is the difference between bullish and bearish volume.

{% hint style="info" %}
Since Pine Script can’t access order book data, Order Blocks are inferred from **volume analysis**.
{% endhint %}

### Quick workflow

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Pick a clean starting view

Set **Max OBs** (defaults to **4**) to control how many blocks are visible. Fewer blocks means less noise.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Choose the generation style (Dynamics)

Use **Original** for more “natural,” lightly filtered blocks. Use **Attuned** for cleaner spacing and more uniform blocks.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Use multi-timeframe blocks when you want stronger levels

Enable **MTF Timeframe** and pick a higher timeframe. A good rule is **4× your current chart timeframe** (1H chart → 4H+ blocks).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Filter for the blocks you actually want to trade

Use **Sensitivity** to filter by:

* Strength (Soft / High / Loud)
* Direction (bullish / bearish)
  {% endstep %}
  {% endstepper %}

### Video walkthrough

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJK8r47b-D4&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

### Settings reference

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Display" %}

#### Max OBs / Show last

Controls how many Order Blocks you see at once. Default is **4**.

Higher values can surface weaker blocks. Lower values keep only the most relevant ones.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Dynamics" %}

#### Original vs Attuned

* **Original**: less filtering, more organic blocks.
* **Attuned**: cleaner output, more regular sizing and spacing.
  {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Sensitivity" %}

#### Strength and direction filters

Use this to show only what matches your plan:

* Strength: Soft / High / Loud
* Side: bullish / bearish
  {% endtab %}

{% tab title="MTF Timeframe" %}

#### Multi-timeframe Order Blocks

Displays blocks derived from another timeframe. Higher timeframes usually produce stronger, more “macro” zones.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Block metrics" %}

#### What shows inside the block

Use the toggles to show/hide the metrics inside the block. This is where you enable **Relative %**, **Volume**, the split bar, and **Δ**.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

{% hint style="info" %}
To display Order Blocks, the asset must have **volume data**.
{% endhint %}

# SR & Trendlines

This page covers the core SR tools in Market Dynamics.\
Use these for levels, bias, and cleaner decision points.

### Pivot Points levels

Pivot Points plot support and resistance from a **higher-timeframe period**.\
They give you repeatable levels to trade reactions from.

#### What gets plotted

* **S1 / R1**: first support and resistance.
* **S2 / R2**: second support and resistance.
* **S3 / R3**: third support and resistance (optional).
* **MM (midline)**: range midpoint.
* **MM deviations**: two yellow lines around MM for context.

#### How to read the labels

Left-side labels can show:

* Level type (**S** or **R**).
* Timeframe (optional).
* Price (optional).
* Level name (optional).

Previous-period pivots can be marked with **triangles**.\
Treat them as “historical magnets” and reaction areas.

![Prime Pivots in action](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/DBwSpnivUOsM4BoKbI71/prime_pivots%20633d4f5da7f46b6c558b943d26ee12ac.png)

#### Signals (diamonds)

Signals only print around the key levels.

* **Buy**: price retests an **S** level while oversold.
* **Sell**: price retests an **R** level while overbought.

{% hint style="info" %}
Enable **previous periods** when you want more context.\
Disable it when you want a cleaner chart.
{% endhint %}

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN9W__AupBM&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

### Higher-timeframe pivots (HTF pivots)

You can plot pivots from up to **4 higher timeframes** on one chart.\
These act as bigger, more meaningful SR zones.

Each pivot label can show:

* The pivot timeframe.
* Whether it’s a **high** or **low** pivot.
* The price level.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you’re unsure what to pick, start with one HTF at **4×** your chart timeframe.\
Example: 30m chart → 2h pivots.
{% endhint %}

### Trendlines

ChartPrime trendlines aim to stay clean and actionable.\
You can control how they’re built and how “macro” they feel.

#### Key settings

* **Anchor method**: draw from **wicks** or **body close**.
* **Scale**: **Small / Medium / Big / Macro**.
* **History**: show past trendlines or only the current one.
* **Color**: fully customizable.

![Trendlines showing historical performance](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/bQfRGbGw4HGQlYgwyQ6a/trendlines%20647334feef8f8f946327365b758d3512.png)

#### When a trendline “ends”

Trendlines stop when price no longer respects them.\
Treat ended lines as inactive. Focus on the current line(s).

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiBF-6km0GE&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

***

### Predictive Ranges

Predictive Ranges draw a **live trading range** on your chart.\
Use the range edges as real-time support and resistance.

#### Tuning the range

* **Length (lookback)**: default is **50 bars**.
* For more frequent updates, try **10–20 bars**.

![Real-time chart range displaying live support and resistance levels](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/erbcBWMjJ5ZuAeiANzri/predrange%20fa35edc453df07b3190b7e8b7b1205ee.png)

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMRG6qfoW1s&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

***

### MTF SR (multi-timeframe support and resistance)

MTF SR plots classic SR from a different timeframe.\
It helps you map bigger levels onto a smaller chart.

#### Recommended timeframe

Use an SR timeframe at least **4× higher** than your chart.\
Example: 30m chart → **2h** MTF SR. If the timeframe selected is lower than the loaded timeframe this can produce issues.

#### Display options (method)

* **Lines**: more precise.
* **Zones**: more forgiving. Better for fast markets.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2FsBMZbU1DxieKhmQp0M8Q%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7fe7e70f-fa34-4646-8031-899ac7bfb282" alt=""><figcaption><p>Highlighted (720m) support resistance on a lower timeframe with ranking data.</p></figcaption></figure>

#### Macro vs micro modes

Pick the SR “scale”:

* **Local**: short-term levels.
* **Midterm**: balanced.
* **Extended**: longer-term.
* **Macro**: major, infrequent levels.

#### Data metrics (optional)

When enabled, the label shows:

1. **Rank** of significance (1 is strongest).
2. **Price** of the level.
3. **Source timeframe** used to generate it.

***

### Highs & Lows (MTF)

Show swing highs and lows from higher timeframes:

* Day
* Week
* Month
* Quarter
* Year

Use these as SR zones and reversion references. Users are able to adjust their plotting style (lines, dashes or dotted) as well as the thickness.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2F8Ddorn0u1rk1AKx7Anp3%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=e21ed72d-7837-4e13-bae5-fcc6dd364329" alt=""><figcaption><p>Key timeframe levels shown on the chart</p></figcaption></figure>

These levels are vital reference points for all traders giving insights into where the market truly changed direction on key timeframes. These act as future areas of interest for support, resistance, take profit, stop losses and even entries on breakouts.

Users are able to adjust the color, line style and thickness via the settings.

# Profiles & Liquidity

Market Dynamics Pro includes several liquidity tools.\
Use them to map likely reaction zones and confirm who’s in control.

### Quick index

* Prime Blocks
* Liquidity Zones
* Volume Profile
* Premium & Discount Zones
* Fair Value Gaps (FVGs)

### Prime Blocks

Prime Blocks highlight liquidity created around major structure shifts.\
Use them to spot bounce and reversal candidates.

#### What the block shows

* **Bull vs bear volume %** inside the block.\
  This is buying vs selling pressure in that region.
* **Gray text**: volume for the block’s side only.
  * Bearish block: bear volume as % of total OB volume.
  * Bullish block: bull volume as % of total OB volume.

#### Delta (who’s winning)

**Δ (delta)** is the difference between buyer and seller volume.\
It’s a fast read on control inside that zone.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/gMhPbjbf5mfvvzdDSgd0/prime_zones%205fb0e81d2fd7205146042545446c4ff0.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Prime Blocks</em></p></figcaption></figure>

The delta circle uses these ranges:

* **Red**: strong negative delta (**-100% → -20%**).
* **Yellow**: neutral delta (**-10% → 10%**).
* **Blue**: strong positive delta (**20% → 100%**).

#### Common tuning

* Reduce **block count** to declutter.
* Choose zone source: **wicks** vs **bodies**.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCS2Chetwvk>" %}

***

### Liquidity Zones

Liquidity Zones mark price levels that likely contain stacked orders.\
They include a bull/bear split plus delta, so you can judge bias. By analysing the difference in buying and selling activity users can gain insights into market dynamics and mentality.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/6qrQqQOidmPTFRQYYZQF/liquid%20467ed69c253071d60043eec0cb05b218.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Liquidity Zones</em></p></figcaption></figure>

#### How traders use them

* **TP / SL references**.
* **Support / resistance** levels.
* Zone location matters:
  * Above price: **sell-side** liquidity.
  * Below price: **buy-side** liquidity.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SycXt7NLc8M>" %}

Via the settings users have two inputs. The first value represents the lookback on the zones. This means a higher value will focus on highlighting longer term zones - a shorter value will focus on a smaller, more recent zone.

Users are also able to adjust the maximum zones shown on the chart.

***

### Volume Profile

ChartPrime’s Volume Profile maps where trading actually happened.\
Use it to find high-liquidity nodes and likely SR zones.

#### What you see

* **Left**: base volume.
* **Right**: quote value.
* **Center %**: strength rating for that level.
* A bounding box shows the **scanned window** (length + depth).

#### POC types

You can switch the Point of Control (POC) to different “most important” levels:

* **Delta +**: highest bull-minus-bear difference.
* **Delta -**: largest sell-side volume area.
* **Money Flow**: strongest in/out flow area.
* **Volume +**: highest total volume area.
* **Level %**: highest-rated level by the profile.

Changing POC moves the center marker to what you care about most.\
That makes the profile faster to read in real time.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/S2JEiBQVe64Sc11jZolV/profile%20fb3bfb8a8e830d00ae3391681b057394.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Volume Profile</em></p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Tip: Enable **Money Flow POC** and disable the full profile.\
You’ll get one clean zone showing major activity.
{% endhint %}

#### How to interpret it

* **Volume peaks** often act as stronger support/resistance.
* **Low-volume zones** can trade like “no man’s land”.\
  Price may move fast and ignore minor levels there.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spguYunaN-4>" %}

#### Optional VWAP

The Volume Profile settings include a **VWAP toggle**.\
It uses the profile search window as the VWAP range.

VWAP can help define trend and act as dynamic SR.

***

### Premium & Discount Zones

Premium/Discount Zones frame swing liquidity with a simple 3-band model.

#### The three zones

* **Discount (bottom)**: “cheap” area. Often used as a buy zone.
* **Equilibrium (middle)**: fair value / balance zone.
* **Premium (top)**: “expensive” area. Often used as a sell zone.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/tBaVQznEijtYYWiFIJwT/premium%203a75d947928a1f25d27ba6bbc7e46b87.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Premium and Discount Zones</em></p></figcaption></figure>

#### Settings&#x20;

* **Length**
  * Higher = more bars, more macro zones.
  * Lower = fewer bars, more reactive zones.
* **Colors** are fully configurable.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEBEbEYUGpQ>" %}

***

### Fair Value Gaps (FVGs)

Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) are imbalance zones.\
They form when the prior and following candle don’t overlap in the middle.

Many traders treat FVGs as “magnets”.\
Once price fills the gap, balance is considered restored.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/HFWp045xBPn0NznX3ILS/fvgs%2074de1ec0afa97aeccf7f088aa96ae6e2.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Fair Value Gaps</em></p></figcaption></figure>

#### Key features

* Pull FVGs from other timeframes via the **timeframe dropdown**.
* **Extend** the zone for real-time planning.
* Many use FVGs as **TP targets** since price often revisits them.

#### Fill visualization

The **fill** shrinks the zone as price trades into it.\
That makes the “remaining” gap obvious.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANudiX39_Hs>" %}

#### FVG settings and setup

The FVG tool comes with various settings to enhance their functionality.&#x20;

* **Show Last** - this option allows the user to display the last X FVGs on their chart.
* **TimeFrame** - this option allows users to display FVGs from various other timeframes on their chart.
* **Imbalance Volume** - this option allows the user to see the difference in volume that's occured within the FVG
* **Imbalance POC** - this option allows the modication of the POC shown with the FVG. Within the FVGs users can see a line that highlights the height of activity within the gap. This is normally using the middle of the block as a base however the highest and volume and lowest can also be highlighted making amazing entries or exits.
* **FVG Type** - bullish and bearish blocks can be specified.
* **FVG Threshold -** this option allows FVGs to be filtered out by strength. A higher value (up to 5) will make a powerful filter whereas a lower value will display more minor gaps.
* **Extension -** this allows the gaps to be extended X number of bars.

# Sessions

Sessions in trading help traders pinpoint the best times to enter and exit the market.

Trading sessions are especially useful for retail traders because they help identify when the market offers the best trading conditions. During major sessions like London and New York, higher institutional activity increases liquidity and volatility, which often leads to tighter spreads, smoother price movement, and faster order execution. \
\
This can reduce trading costs, improve entries and exits, and create more reliable opportunities compared to quieter market hours with low volume and unpredictable movement.

Users can enable and display the following key sessions:

* Asia
* NY
* London

Once select users will see blocks of highlighted sesions.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2F36zPvzwdEGrni2T4ntP4%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=5b18a265-b64b-44b0-80d6-ad1754dab6a2" alt=""><figcaption><p>A session breakout </p></figcaption></figure>

### **Settings**

* Users can enable the high and low of the session opening to see key market activity and where interest is being shown.
* Signals show breakouts of these high and low levels. A breakout from this market structure is highly meaninful and indicates a market bias.
* Volume data reveals the relative bull and bear activity during the session
* Lvl2 confirmation produces and filters signals only if there is enough confirmation and the breakout of the range is confirmed with volume and price action.
* Timeframe - users can adjust the window detection timeframes.

# Alerts

The Market Dynamics toolkit enables traders to set alerts for multiple events. These include, but are not limited to:

* Patterns
* Order Blocks Interactions

# Introduction

The Prime Oscillators Pro suite includes three powerful oscillators designed to offer deep insights into market dynamics. These tools help identify divergences, overbought and oversold conditions, momentum reversals, confluence alerts, and more. Each mode is crafted to meet the needs of oscillator enthusiasts, with a strong focus on trading accuracy and effectiveness.

Learn about each mode below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuwNE1rp0gU>" %}

# Trend Fusion Oscillator

One of ChartPrime’s most iconic oscillators, this tool combines price and volume to provide market participants with valuable insights into potential future price action. It’s designed in a classical oscillator format for familiarity and ease of learning.

It consists of several key components:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Trend Mode

The Price Volume Oscillator uses an adaptive calculation to indicate when the market is entering a downtrend or uptrend. When the oscillator intersects with the adaptive plot, the color of the price volume band changes—green for an uptrend and red for a downtrend.

![trend.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/sURmW7ITSZ0CFMFKDTL5/fusiontrend%20b40666420835d35d0300658421c42105.png)

*The Fusion Trend Wave showing market direction*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Divergences

The TMO identifies two types of divergences:

* Regular Bullish Divergences: Occurs when the price forms lower lows while the oscillator forms higher lows, signaling a weakening downward trend and suggesting a potential upward reversal. Despite falling prices, the oscillator’s higher lows indicate diminishing bearish momentum.
* Regular Bearish Divergences: Happens when the price creates higher highs while the oscillator makes lower highs, signaling that the upward trend is losing strength and could reverse into a downtrend. This is often seen as an opportunity to short or exit long positions, as the bullish momentum is fading.

![div.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/D6VppO3fFs04ffpIJCeG/fusiondiv%207160dd19db8c01521a0740a5ba592623.png)

*Bullish Divergence shown on the Fusion Wave*

When the peaks and valleys of the Price Volume Oscillator ribbon diverge from price action, a thin line connects the diverging points, indicating a higher probability of reversal. These divergences can be used in a classical trading fashion.

For example, a red line connecting two peaks suggests an imminent price reversal, while a green line connecting two bottoms indicates a potential upward bounce.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Areas of Reversal

These signals use an algorithm that factors in the median length of trends, average true range, price deviation, volatility, and gap conditions to highlight areas with a high probability of reversal. These reversal signals are clear and effective when used alongside other factors. Shown as red and blue dots, a red dot signals that momentum and money flow are exhausted, potentially indicating a pullback or bearish reversal. A blue dot suggests a bullish bounce is likely.

![dot.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/7WAGjBeecNWX89SYwX3B/dot%207dc381da2ad5b163b29914351688d898.png)

*Reversal Dot forecasting Bearish Reversal*

Reversals are never a guarantee

Always look for confluence and set sensible stop losses when trying to scalp reversals in markets. Predicting perfect market bottoms isn't a reasonable goal.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

#### MFI

In the background, there’s an MFI histogram that shows the market’s money flow. A green histogram indicates bullish buying pressure, while a red histogram signals that sellers are entering the market.

#### Confluence Trading With The TFO

When using the TFO, building confluence between price action and the volume components of the oscillator is crucial. For example, when both the MFI and the main wave are positive, it strengthens the case for a long position. This oscillator is a powerful, all-encompassing tool, effective on its own.

# MVP Oscillator

#### The Main Ribbon

This oscillator analyzes market trends and produces a blue and purple ribbon. A blue ribbon suggests the market is moving upwards, while a purple ribbon indicates the market is moving downwards. This plot can be used classically, allowing users to easily identify divergences. However, in this mode, divergences are not the main feature and must be identified manually.

Ranging between -100 and 100, this oscillator indicates a bearish market and downward movement when below 0. Conversely, when above 0, the market is in a bullish state. Looking for confluence is key. For example, if the oscillator is below 0 and purple appears on the ribbon, this could be a stronger indication that the market will continue to move downwards. However, if it is below 0 and the oscillator turns blue, this could signify indecision in the market.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/6pwg1BwMxwcoUQERq80K/mvptrend%20c16e24e190793e00834bc50ba8c2b2f4.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>The Main Wave on the MVP Oscillator</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Monitoring when the oscillator becomes overbought or oversold can also provide valuable trading insights. The blue and purple overbought and oversold lines indicate when the oscillator may be more likely to experience a reversal. For example, if the oscillator is at -100, we may expect a reversal and bounce. If it is at or approaching 100, we might consider shorting the market as a potential bearish reversal may be imminent.

{% hint style="info" %}
Before trading an overbought or oversold bounce, try to wait for a confirmation (e.g., a crossover of the oversold level or a crossunder of the overbought level).
{% endhint %}

#### The Green Bars

Another key component of the MVP oscillator is the overextended green bars that appear when a market reversal is due.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/7fYH7nRMElAjaoj9tvY7/mvpreverse%20da7852d248d68de0cb68a111e8c70ebe.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Green Bars suggesting the market will soon reverse</em></p></figcaption></figure>

When the green bars appear, users can infer that the market may bounce around this region, making this feature particularly valuable when used in conjunction with other tools from ChartPrime. Looking for these bars can indicate when traders might want to consider dynamic positions. Consider these a warning sign.

#### Signals

The MVP oscillator also generates signals. These appear when the oscillator becomes overextended and display arrows. These can serve as classical buy or sell signals when used in conjunction with other indicators.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/kDLtwA40H87p6Crujust/MVPsignals%20952f9f2347154612ba339c237ad94d06.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Signals for Buy/Sell Actions</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Looking for confluence with these signals can be a powerful strategy. For example, in the image above, we see a buy signal accompanied by green bars. This suggests that the market is due for a reversal, which is most likely to be bullish.

# Prime Oscillator

### Main Ribbon

The main ribbon is a straightforward yet powerful tool for gauging market sentiment and momentum. The ribbon ranges between 0 and 100: values above 50 indicate a bullish market (uptrend or increasing buying pressure), while values below 50 suggest a bearish market (downtrend or increasing selling pressure).

![The Main Wave on the Prime Oscillator](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/McN4fA83wb9JC8eviCUL/primemain%20c3283650590fe3a045cc4a445b5cc85f.png)

A key feature is the color-coding system, designed to enhance readability. Green represents a bullish market, and red indicates a bearish market.

By focusing on market momentum, the ribbon helps traders assess the strength and sustainability of current trends. Confluence is a critical aspect: when the ribbon’s position (above or below 50) aligns with its color (green or red), it provides a stronger signal of market direction.

Traders can use this indicator to identify potential entry and exit points, confirm trends, or as part of a broader trading strategy. Its simplicity, combined with the depth of information it provides, makes it a versatile tool across various trading styles and market conditions.

### Reversal Signals

Reversal signals act as contrarian indicators, forecasting potential changes in market direction. “Peak seekers,” marked by blue dots, integrate data from multiple indicators to enhance accuracy in identifying divergences. These settings automatically adjust to the selected timeframe.

![The Peak Seeker signals](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/IwzhCfCadu0OgVAffzJ5/primepeak%20247baa1fdd833cb206bd8f1a9cc8428e.png)

The “momentum ribbon” evaluates market volatility and signals potential trend shifts. A twist in this ribbon often indicates an impending market reversal.

This system is also designed to efficiently detect divergences, ensuring a wide range of potential market reversals are captured. This feature is especially useful for traders as it helps minimize the risk of missing key reversal signals.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Reversals aren't perfect.

Use confluence when trading reversals. These peak seeker dots are best used as part of a wider analysis system.
{% endhint %}

### OBOS Zones

The Prime Oscillator clearly highlights overbought (OB) and oversold (OS) zones, where prices are more likely to reverse. These are displayed as orange OB or OS strips on the chart.

![OBOS Signals showing overextended areas of the market](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/twi7qWdYWx1IOGxoQzhu/primeobos%205e3f50f699a576bee070181db818cc97.png)

When seeing an OS label, traders should avoid shorting or selling, as it suggests that sellers are exhausted, and buyers are likely to re-enter the market soon.

When an OB label appears, traders should avoid buying, as it indicates that buyers have exhausted themselves. This is often a good opportunity to take profits on long positions.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Just because a market is overbought or oversold doesn't mean the market HAS to reverse. Buyers or sellers might continue coming into the market.
{% endhint %}

### Automatic Divergences

The Prime Oscillator identifies two types of divergences:

> Regular Bullish Divergences: Occurs when price forms lower lows while the oscillator forms higher lows, signaling a weakening downward trend and the potential for an upward reversal. This suggests that bearish momentum is fading, even as prices continue to fall.

> Regular Bearish Divergences: Happens when price creates higher highs, but the oscillator forms lower highs, signaling a loss of upward momentum and a possible reversal into a downtrend. Traders often see this as an opportunity to short or exit long positions.

![Bullish Divergence shown on the Oscillator](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/aEHOGDOUBgxCRYcWjIuv/primediv%20b756d54eb2a9b74c07d248f6e226c2eb.png)

When a bullish divergence is identified, a green line connects the troughs of the oscillator, indicating a potential upward bounce. When a bearish divergence is detected, a red line connects the peaks, suggesting an impending pullback.

### Bands

The band feature can be enabled in the settings, showing a band around the oscillator split into two parts. The green section represents the oscillator climbing, while the red section indicates it is falling. This adds another layer of confluence when reading the oscillator’s direction. Breaks in the band can also be enabled, which may highlight potential momentum breakouts for traders.

***

### Prime Oscillator Settings

* Bands on/off - this setting produces bands on the oscillator, one red and one green. These act as possible reversal ranges for our oscillator. If we see the oscillator approaching the lower bound of the band, this could be a good place to take a long position as we know our momentum might reverse shortly.
* Bands break on/off - this setting shows us when the oscillator has broken inside or outside our band actiing as a potential reversal signal as the oscillator naturally wants to return to the center line.
* Divergence - enables and disables divergence labels
* Maximum/Minimum point difference - this is a sub setting of divergence detection and alters how far back the scanning occurs. For example a maximum of 35 bars between 2 lows.&#x20;

# Market Oracle+

Market Oracle+ builds upon Market Oracle, offering more customizability and powerful tools all in a single toolkit. The following pages outline the added features and how to maximize their use. If you are looking for documentation regarding other core Market Oracle features, you can do so [here](/market-oracle/the-oracle-pro).

## Prophecy Signals

The cutting-edge Prophecy Signals have been added to Market Oracle Plus. These aren’t classical signals based on trends. Instead, they aim to give traders true insights into market behavior and direction. These signals can be used to independently identify shifting market sentiment and serve as strong confluence points. They are less likely to be thrown off by market noise or give false signals.

&#x20;*Predicting true dumps and pumps*

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/d189Jsfyw2QFo6KvJndV/Prophecysignals%2051550d977c7153339ed6014cb3b4e0a9.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

See the overview video:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlyZRAfOuQE&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

Via the settings users can also enable Max Profit and Take Profit labels with the signals. These indicate the optimal areas in the market to exit using the Prophecy algorithm as an underlying calculation.

## Custom Signals

Toolkits and signals often limit traders to a single algorithm, reducing flexibility and adaptability. Market Oracle+ includes a custom signals builder, allowing users to combine various toolkit components into a personalized signal or alert. For example, you can create a signal that triggers when a trend shift aligns with bullish candlestick patterns. Traders can also create alerts based on these custom signals to help automate trading workflows.

{% hint style="info" %}
To use the Custom Signals, please ensure signals are enabled at the top of your settings.
{% endhint %}

See the overview video:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp930QVN9Gk&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

The first two dropdowns specify the conditions that must be met to trigger an alert. The final input sets the lookback period for the conditions. For example, if you want an alert when a buy signal and a bullish candlestick appear within five bars of each other, set the lookback to 5 and the alert will trigger accordingly.

![Plus labels denote a triggered signal](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/RcIzQ1HdIg0nSentoDlO/customsignals%20b9f0c3f4426ed033aab03208f23bc42e.png) *Plus labels denote a triggered signal*

## Quantum Bands

Quantum Bands identify zones with a high probability of price reversals by analyzing market momentum and noise. When the price enters one of these zones, a reversal becomes more likely. Quantum Bands are especially effective when paired with other reversal indicators.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPu9ndu99cU&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

What sets these bands apart is their adaptability to trending markets, enabling identification of reversals in both ranging and trending markets by leveraging volatility calculations.

![Bounces off the bands](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/9WtImLJimeyGpBCKf6nK/bands%2073c4cf1e0f930e89532fbf3fa8acd987.png) *Bounces off the bands*

Users can also use Multi-Time Frame (MTF) functionality to load bands from higher timeframes, offering a broader view of support and resistance levels. This is useful for scalpers who trade at the extremes of the bands for early entries and exits.

## Quantum Reactor

The Quantum Reactor is a market balance indicator designed to help filter out fake pumps and dumps. It turns gray during higher-risk market conditions to avoid false signals and unprofitable trades. Unlike traditional moving averages that constantly try to adapt to trends, the Reactor selectively filters them out for a more refined trend analysis.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz2QftHMOZk&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.chartprime.com%2F>" %}

Using the Quantum Reactor to detect and filter out fake pumps and dumps helps identify genuine breakouts versus bull or bear traps, which can safeguard portfolios and trades.

The Reactor features two modes, fast and slow, adjustable in settings:

* Fast mode: reacts quickly to price action — suitable for short-term scalpers.
* Slow mode: more stable, less prone to noise — better for long-term traders.

![Quantum Reactor filtering a pump](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/MVUA1Y58S0t3jsCnf3U9/slowreactor%20bd8e6ce3f96bf65c7f80a7449a7f730f.png) *Quantum Reactor filtering a pump*

### VWAP Channels

The VWAP Channels found within Market Oracle Pro Plus focus on revealing key market volume levels in the market. By taking the famous VWAP, we transform it into two usable sets of bands. The lower in green and the upper in purple. A dashed line is produced at each band giving the user a region of space the price is most likely to reverse from.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2FGAiSCae4gyN8I5f4VLzI%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=af972357-c6e1-4f52-8c66-ec797fc8559e" alt=""><figcaption><p>Price bouncing from the VWAP Bands</p></figcaption></figure>

When price has a confirmed retest and bounce a triangle is produced acting as a reversal signal. Notice in the image above, our price comes to the upper band and sees a clear reaction. These are perfect short position entries.

Triangles (VWAP Reversal SIgnals) are produced when the reversal is confirmed adding to trader's confidence.

These bands are real time and do not repaint and provide excellent targets and entries for both scalpers and swing traders.\
\
Users can also enable the warning section via the settings which warns the user when the VWAP bands are about to reset. These bands take into account set time periods and reset themselves to adjust to the market. Having the warning enabled means traders have a headstart in knowing how relevant the bands are.

***

### Volatility Matrix

The Volatility Matrix is a simple but powerful tool that detects high volatility candles and market pressure. By looking for candles with these identifiers traders can know and have a clear indication of a large market push or pressure.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2FvLmKZ6pB97Hds6FSGI3l%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=ee84de08-9f81-40bf-88c1-e9aced05d454" alt=""><figcaption><p>Volatility Matrix indicating pressure</p></figcaption></figure>

In the example above we can see the market was in a clear uptrend. The presence of a Volatility Matrix firing indicates that the market has signficant push behind it and therefore we can add to our position. Users are able to adjust the threshold for their detection in the settings with higher values resulting in fewer, tighter detections.

# The Prime Oscillator+

### Money Flow Tracker

The **Money Flow Tracker** measures the flow of money into and out of a security over a specific period. By combining price and volume data, it provides insights into the buying and selling pressure of an asset. Utilizing low-lag filtering methods, this confluence of readings theoretically creates a more reliable oscillator. With the MTF, you can understand whether money is flowing into or out of a market. Generally speaking, if the oscillator is green, buyers are entering the market, and we would want to do the same. If the oscillator is red, this means money is flowing out of the market, and hence selling our asset might be wise.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/FZwYs8OTZFr0Vj4ui9iJ/moneyflow%20b32081f730640f058060f0845a048b3a.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Money Flowing in and out of the market</em></p></figcaption></figure>

This feature allows for:

* **Early Trend Detection**: By highlighting periods of positive (green) and negative (red) volume, traders can anticipate shifts in market sentiment before they are reflected in price action.

***

### Money Flow Divergence

The Money Flow Divergence feature shows the formation and change of momentum in the money flowing in and out of the market. By knowing if the rate of money flowing into the market is flowing, we as traders can identify the weakening flow of money. These are represented as yellow dots on the oscillator.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2F6Vk0nVvPY241qKctRycd%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=b40922e0-01a6-4e96-a8ca-dc01dfc4627c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For example a bullish money flow that's weakening is a suggestion to prepare for a short position.

***

### Volume Matrix

The **Volume Matrix** is a volume oscillator that shows whether money is flowing into or out of the market. Green suggests an uptrend with buyers in control, while red indicates a majority of sellers. By incorporating smoothed volume analysis, it distinguishes between bullish and bearish volumes, offering an early indication of potential trend reversals.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/2cES8p67nJBimwQiDtVu/volume%2059dd49e46ab10b3a588d40aa9388ccc0.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Volume readings on the chart</em></p></figcaption></figure>

By watching the Volume Matrix, traders can build confluence and receive early warnings of trend reversals. For example, if we know sellers are entering a market, this could be an early warning sign.

***

### Top and Bottom Power Bars

**Top and Bottom Power Bars** represent confirmation of trends based on the convergence of seven different conditions, with brightness indicating the strength of the trend. Brighter lines suggest strong trends, while dimmer lines indicate weaker trends. These serve as excellent confluence for a trade and provide perfect filtering for other components. For example, if the Power Bars are green and our MTF is green, this is a great indicator that it's a good time to buy.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/UIlDfSU20q76SpfK6fuM/power%20e5c22ed77c02a70ebd782019646f3669.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Trend following using power bars</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Key Benefits:

* **Trend Strength Identification**: By visually representing the strength of a trend, traders can gauge market confidence in a particular direction.
* **Overbought/Oversold Conditions**: Bright lines in overbought or oversold zones signal potential reversal points, helping traders avoid entering positions at extreme highs or lows.

***

### Volume-Inspired Signals

**Volume-Inspired Signals** determine overbought and oversold conditions, adding another layer of analysis to the oscillator. These appear as orange labels, providing a simple reading into a possible reversal.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/buMqjc0hL2J3rCZe2yed/reversal%204ae713a37b924d9c12ffbb7356ef9c2d.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>A signal suggesting a downtrend will begin</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Advantages:

* **Price Fairness Assessment**: These signals help traders assess whether the current price is above or below the average price, adjusted for volume, indicating potential reversal zones.
* **Improved Timing**: By using these signals, traders can enhance the timing of their entries and exits, ensuring alignment with broader market consensus.

***

### The True 7

The **True 7** is a middle-ranking system that evaluates the strength of a move and the overall trend, offering a numeric or visual representation of trend strength. It can also indicate when a trend is starting to reverse, providing leading signals for potential market shifts. Rather than using an oscillator, this offers the unique edge of falling into set categories, making understanding it simple. This is toggled on via the settings panel and is not enabled by default.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/oMTXEDOk4KNe3EFMDXYX/rank%20733e861c230d647911e2e281de68dc2e.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>A score of 7 suggesting the market might reverse</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Notable Features:

* **Reversal Signals**: These contrarian signals predict market reversals and the oscillator's movements.
* **Confluence**: This system offers a unique confluence, boiling down market performance to a rank rather than a value, a feature often lacking in other tools.

***

### Main Oscillator

The **Main Oscillator** is designed as a low-lag identifier of market moves. Using low-lag smoothing techniques, it highlights trends with green and red colors, making it highly effective when used in conjunction with other features in this toolkit.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/z13W7ihrKmh8G9c3fAd5/main%209fe77b974cf3cb8c6f99505f5ff7c7e7.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Trend following ribbon</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Key Benefit:

* **Trend Strength Quantification**: This system quantifies the strength of a trend, helping traders understand market momentum and the potential sustainability of a move.

***

### Automatic Divergences

The Prime Oscillator identifies two types of divergences. These are presented below as steps describing each divergence type.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Regular Bullish Divergences

These occur when the price forms lower lows while the oscillator forms higher lows. This pattern indicates that the downward trend is losing strength, signaling a potential upward reversal. Despite the continued decline in price, the oscillator's higher lows suggest that bearish momentum is weakening.

When the oscillator automatically labels bullish divergences, a green line will connect the troughs, indicating a possible upcoming bullish bounce.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Regular Bearish Divergences

These take place when the price reaches higher highs, but the oscillator registers lower highs. This divergence suggests that the upward trend is losing steam and might reverse into a downtrend. Regular bearish divergences are typically seen as signals to short or exit long positions, as they indicate diminishing bullish strength.

When the oscillator automatically labels bearish divergences, a red line will link the peaks of the oscillator, suggesting a potential market pullback.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Diamond Shift Signals

The Diamond Shift Signals found in the Prime Oscillator Plus shows areas of the market likely to see a reversal and a shift in momentum. By scanning the market's history and price action, using confluence, a diamond can be produced as circled below.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2FmRl01LpyaaZ8R1vsV3Cq%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=6aad8641-fd49-43ee-98e5-f7c47dabadcc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

These are rare events and should be treated as significant market markers. Notice how they appear at the bottom and top of a trend. A red diamond shows a bearish potential shift and a green a bullish one.&#x20;

***

### Money Mode

Money Mode focuses on money moving in the market. By enabling this setting it focuses on the money flow soley. A green wave suggests money is flowing into the market and hence is bullish and a red wave suggests money is leaving the market.

<figure><img src="https://1490082884-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fmyc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE%2Fuploads%2FqjqEaBbjjmcMmDjFLL66%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=0c0b967c-bd05-4d6b-86f6-f9f0205aac02" alt=""><figcaption><p>Green and red waves on the Money Mode</p></figcaption></figure>

# Overview

The **Prime Screener** is a tool designed to enhance trading efficiency and analytical precision by integrating elements from ChartPrime's other indicators into a single platform.

This screener aims to mitigate the need for navigating multiple assets to identify optimal setups, providing a consolidated platform for discovering trend-based and reversal signals.

Designed for simplicity, users can customize the items they are screening for via the settings with just a few clicks.

The Screener is showcased in the video below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNYjQQ4Ikl0>" %}

The following pages cover all features, how to use the tool, and tips and tricks for maximizing the effectiveness of the Prime Screener.

# Trend Following

On the leftmost side of the screener, users can see a customizable list of tickers in the settings menu. Traders can select from 20 assets, and the screener supports all assets built into the TradingView platform.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/UG0LQt0kq8yFWw3lTrIF/assets%20cfe6ee0bf462e298a515d71e35d13afe.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Prime Screener turned on by default</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Each row in the screener table scans across all selected assets on the timeframe currently chosen by the user. For example, if the user is on the 15m chart, the screener will analyze all the 15m charts for the selected assets.

## Signals

The Trend Signals column utilizes ChartPrime’s premium Trend Signals found in Market Oracle. This column displays the current signal based on the tuning set within the settings.

If there is a sell signal, the box will be red with a “Sell” label. Conversely, if there is a buy signal, the box will be green with a “Buy” label. Users will also notice ticks appearing next to these labels. For instance, a Buy signal with two ticks indicates that two take profits have been hit by the price action.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/4E8K33dfEgkzKD5NeAGU/fresh%20231a70ec3d4bac035f3cdfb2e8ba7e3f.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>Target Profits displayed</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Two take profits being hit may suggest that the signal has "expired," meaning the best part of the trade has already played out. A single tick could indicate a similar situation.

{% hint style="info" %}
Looking for signals with no ticks can present the most opportunity, as the signal hasn’t fully played out yet.
{% endhint %}

## Reactor

The next column is the Reactor column, which pulls data from the reactor found within Market Oracle. If the reactor is red, the screener and cell will display “Bearish,” while a green reactor will show “Bullish.” Generally, this column serves better for confluence purposes than for actionable signals.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/3gk8D6k23SA191SFL8sF/reactor%2059a70a40c07f1676a8fe20be3ca04c0a.png" alt=""><figcaption><p><em>The Reactor being reflected in the Screener</em></p></figcaption></figure>

Searching for opportunities, such as a Sell signal with no ticks alongside a bearish reactor, provides confluence and confirms a market downtrend, creating an entry opportunity for a trade.

# Contrarian

#### Candle

The **Candle** column displays the current and most recent found candle pattern as labeled in the market oracle. The screener uses a lookback setting: if a pattern is detected within the specified lookback number of candles (default is 5), it will be shown in the screener. This increases the frequency of detected patterns, making the screener more actionable. Traders can adjust this value to 1 to screen for patterns only on the current bar.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/LLwki7cwcGAmLsADAqhT/lookback%2092be76bccf8854f69d98900ea0fbc862.png" alt=""><figcaption><p> <em>Prime Screener detecting an engulfing pattern</em></p></figcaption></figure>

As described on the candlestick patterns page:

“Candlestick structures analyze candlestick formations, putting a unique spin on classical patterns and providing the most relevant formations on the chart. These patterns are filtered through further market activity analysis, making them superb for reversal identification. They are often used in conjunction with other reversal techniques, such as support and resistance confluence. For example, if the price is at resistance and a bearish candlestick pattern appears.”

The list of patterns being screened for includes:

* EG - Engulfing Patterns: The body of the candle completely eclipses the body of the previous candle.
* Hammer: A reversal candlestick with a long wick, producing a hammer shape.
* RTM - Rising Three Methods: A bullish continuation pattern that arises during an upward trend, suggesting the market will likely continue in a strong buy-side period.
* FTM - Falling Three Methods: Characterized by two long candlesticks in the direction of the trend, with three shorter counter-trend candlesticks in between. This pattern indicates that bulls lack sufficient conviction to reverse the trend.
* Bullish Soldier & Bearish Soldier: A reversal pattern consisting of three consecutive long-bodied candlesticks that open within the previous candle's real body, closing above the previous candle's high.
* Evening Star & Morning Star: A reversal pattern made up of three candles: a large bullish candlestick, a small-bodied candle, and a bearish candle.

{% hint style="info" %}
Better Entries and Exits:

Looking for scalping settings via candle patterns can be beneficial. For example, a sell signal followed by a bearish reactor and a new bearish candlestick pattern can provide an opportunity for an excellent short scalp. Candlestick patterns can also indicate profit opportunities. If a trader is in a short position and bullish candlestick patterns are being detected, it might be a good chance to take profits off the table.
{% endhint %}

#### Reversal

The **Reversal** column is a key feature of The Prime Screener, designed to help traders spot potential reversal signals in the market. This tool serves as an alert for possible changes in market direction.

<figure><img src="https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/qIDGaGAxGMYcDub5Fznn/reverse%208e279d9ffbec904d77d10ff911c66588.png" alt=""><figcaption><p> <em>Reversal Signal detected</em><br></p></figcaption></figure>

* Default Setting: By default, the screener checks the last five candles on the chart for reversal signals. If it finds something noteworthy within these candles, it displays this information. Traders can increase this value to scan over a larger range.
* Adjusting for Immediate Signals: For those interested in the most current market activities, the settings can be changed to focus solely on the current candle, providing the latest information on potential market shifts.

Why it's useful:

1. For Quick Trading Strategies (Scalping):
   * If a trader sees a sell signal, a downward trend (bearish reactor), and a new pattern suggesting the trend might continue downward, this could be an ideal opportunity for a quick, profitable trade.
2. Deciding When to Take Profits:
   * If a trader is in a short position and starts noticing bullish reversal signals, this might indicate a good time to take profits before the market trend reverses.

{% hint style="info" %}
TIP:

The Reversal Column in The Prime Screener offers traders a valuable tool for identifying potential market turns. Its customizable lookback period caters to various trading needs, from immediate action to more calculated strategies. This feature ensures that traders can stay informed and make timely decisions based on the latest market trends.
{% endhint %}

# Tips & Tricks

#### Setups

Screeners are best utilized when searching for trade setups. They excel as confluence scanners and should be an essential part of any seasoned trader's arsenal. When looking for a trade setup, it's a good idea to glance at the relevant cells for the upcoming trade. For example, see the image below:

![Confluence between the required cells](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/P7esWwkpiXwit5Asw3aA/decision%20fe092ca113a9d29a902293081d8a3681.png)

In this image, we see that for ETH, both the Signal and Reactor columns are red. The single tick next to the signal suggests ETH has already been trending downwards and has hit one of the provided take profits. The fact that both cells are red gives us further confidence that the market is in a strong confirmed downtrend.

Screeners can also help protect traders against risky trades.

![Indecision between the cells](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/hAu7YeGSwUwVpVJtEQBr/indecision%200f7bea79c5e020f9f8246da3a76ee2da.png)

In this image, we see that for ETH, the Signal and Reactor columns show different colors and values. The reactor is green, and the signal indicates a sell, suggesting the market is in a period of indecision. Therefore, taking trades in this market could carry higher risks.

{% hint style="info" %}
Just like in a quiz, going with the majority vote for the answer is usually a good idea. The same applies to indicators—looking at the readings from each distinct tool can be a powerful method.
{% endhint %}

#### Exits

Screeners can also help traders detect when markets become overextended and might be more likely to reverse. This insight can facilitate easier exits from trades.

For example, in crypto trading, assets are often correlated with each other or Bitcoin. Observing reversal labels and candlestick patterns appearing in the Bitcoin screener can serve as a leading indicator for taking profits in other trades.

Traders can also use the screener in a more traditional way, focusing solely on their single asset. If a long position is entered and reversal signs along with bearish candlestick patterns are appearing in the screener, it could be an ideal moment to take profit.

{% hint style="info" %}
Waiting for trends to reverse before taking profits can be dangerous and may leave profits on the table. Remember, profit is profit.
{% endhint %}

#### Customize Your Screener

**Location:** Traders can change the location of the dashboard and adjust its size via the provided settings. The screener can be positioned in the area of the chart as needed, and its size can be modified to suit different trading styles.

**Screened Items:** If traders do not wish to screen for a certain condition (e.g., not interested in candle patterns), they can toggle the conditions on and off via the Data Settings input. This customization can make the screener cleaner and more tailored for individual traders.

{% hint style="info" %}
Reducing the number of screened assets can increase the speed of the screener, making your charting experience even faster.
{% endhint %}

# JBravo Kit

The Bravo Suite is an all-encompassing toolset designed by ChartPrime alongside JBravo, aimed at providing traders with various indicators and technical analysis tools.

The tools are designed to allow traders to analyze charts just like JBravo.

These tools prioritize ease of use, featuring simple inputs and intuitive visuals to assist users in making informed decisions.

This guide provides an overview of the different features included in the Bravo Suite for JBravo and delves into some of the more intricate details.

### Bravo 9 Count

The Bravo 9 Count system offers a unique take on the traditional 9 count. The major difference in the Bravo 9 Count is that it uses the trend angle instead of the generic method of counting candlesticks. By incorporating the trend angle, it can potentially provide better insights into the momentum behind the current price trend and identify trend exhaustion points more effectively.

The Bravo Suite calculates trend angles, giving traders a special advantage when counting 9 counts.

This approach allows the Bravo 9 Count system to consider not only the number of consecutive price increases or decreases but also the strength of these movements. Consequently, it can provide a more accurate depiction of the underlying trend, especially if the momentum of the price action is changing.

While the traditional 9 count system only counts the number of sequential candles based on consecutive higher or lower closes, the Bravo Sequential system uses the trend angle to identify whether the trend is losing strength. It displays a 9 count when it detects a possible trend exhaustion point, accompanied by an optional label for better visibility on the chart.

### Candle Coloring

The candles provide a unique way of visualizing price action by color-coding them based on their angle relative to past prices. Users have the option to enable or disable the Bravo Candles theme.

When the candles are gray or white, the algorithm is not detecting any data that indicates a definitive trend change.

{% hint style="info" %}
When trading reversals, it's useful to look for signs of confluence (for example, by using an assistive oscillator).

When the Bravo 9 Count indicator has fired but a price reversal has not occurred, purple candles may appear. These purple candles, often referred to as the “Purple Nurple,” indicate that the reversal is extended, and a change in price direction could be imminent. It is strongly encouraged that traders confirm confluence with other indicators, such as the MVP Oscillator or the Oscillator Pro.
{% endhint %}

![The Bravo Count](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/V9lmUsJ3wzizscwIDdXi/count%206f9b1c61c92f5043f95037e5f76e3611.png)

### Bravo Bands

The Bravo Fibonacci Bands, also referred to as the “Bravo Bands,” are an advanced and innovative feature of the Bravo Suite, specifically designed to offer a more precise and dynamic price channel using a custom blend of Fibonacci numbers and weighted averages.

![The Bravo Bands](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/nMH1coKjpkbpasNi2pl4/bands%2090faa79bd19db5ea13d48d1ec9502204.png)

Displayed as a purple cloud above and a blue cloud below the candle area, these bands provide a dynamic price channel for price action. When price enters these clouds, a reversal in trend is often observed. These bands work well in conjunction with the Bravo 9 Count indicator for trade confirmations.

* When price reaches the top cloud, a downward reversal might be incoming.
* When price reaches the bottom cloud, a bounce upwards might be expected.

The end result is a reliable, easy-to-read price channel that gives traders the confidence to make informed decisions.

### Bravo MAs

The Bravo 9 Moving Average is included in the suite and has been turned into a trend-following ribbon.

The kit also provides other useful moving averages used by JBravo for various timeframes, such as the 200-day Moving Average and the 100-week Moving Average. Traders can toggle the visibility of each moving average. These are custom-designed lower lag moving averages, intended as assistive and supporting features in the toolkit.

![The Bravo MAs](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/Dqt5IVZ8PxQREaVoYTcX/MAs%20b98a1327133f554dc319f23564cf4a5c.png)

Moving averages in trading can serve both support/resistance purposes as well as trend-assistive capabilities. Price often reacts off these zones in the market. Additionally, when the price is above the moving averages, it implies an uptrend; when it’s below, a downtrend.

### Bravo Screener (For Pro)

The Bravo Pro Screener provides instant access to a trader’s custom watch lists. You can screen for 9 counts, above or below the Bravo 9, above or below the 200-day moving average, and a reading from the Bravo Bands.

![Bravo Pro Screener](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/wmolm2kL0QhPV89aujcF/screener%202e267e98bec09f714e2dce2118581a48.png)

By having this information readily visible, traders can let the screener do the chart watching. The list of assets being screened can be adjusted via the settings.

# TradeIQ Kit

## The TradeIQ Toolkit

The TradeIQ Toolkit is a unique and powerful collection of indicators designed to enhance your trading experience. Combining advanced support and resistance methods with robust signals and a range of additional features, this toolkit stands out as one of the most sophisticated options available for traders.

Created in collaboration with ChartPrime, this documentation covers each component to help you maximize the potential of your toolkit.

## Main Toolkit Features

### Signals

The TradeIQ Signals offer a fresh approach by clearly displaying take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) levels directly on your chart. These signals are trend-based and are generated when the price begins to reverse. When a trend reversal is detected, two main components are produced:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Signal

The signal itself indicates the detected trend reversal and whether it’s a Long (potential price rise) or Short (potential price drop).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### TP & SL levels

Take profit and stop loss levels are drawn on-chart to guide entries and exits. As the price progresses, take profit signals are generated to guide your exit strategy. You can adjust the distance of these TPs using the TTP setting; a value around 3 is generally healthy.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/X5xPdRU4Db9KuUP8pmIM/tiqsignals%20828aca07914ea4489c22666b3c7a2555.png)
:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                            *Signals with Target Profits*

More on signal settings:

* Sensitivity: Adjust how frequently or sensitively signals are generated. Lower values produce smoother signals, while higher values yield more trades.
* Shadow Feature: Helps with trend identification by providing additional visual cues.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always look for additional confirmation when trading with signals; avoid making trades blindly.
{% endhint %}

The toolkit includes colored candles that complement the signals, available in two modes: Trendy and TIQ Alpha. Trendy candles reflect classical trend-following colors, while TIQ Alpha candles focus on market momentum and money flow, resulting in a clean blue and purple color scheme.

[More On Signal Settings](#more-on-signal-settings)

### Trendlines with Breaks

Trendlines provide insights into support and resistance levels and overall trends. Enable trendlines in the TradeIQ toolkit by navigating to the Trendlines setting and turning it on. This setting draws trendlines when there are two confirmed touches.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/wZfCYpcoXRTiL2KVi6fq/tiqtrendlines%2042971d4fb43a44f16a038a90534f9e02.png)
:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                *Trendlines with “B” tags suggesting a change in trend*

Key points:

* Adjust Macro or Micro trendlines via the scale dropdown for longer-term or short-term trendlines.
* Toggle historical trendlines using the records input.
* Choose how trendlines are drawn (from wicks or body of candles).
* When a trendline is broken and a trend change is identified, a B label appears to confirm the change (e.g., a red downwards trendline with a green B confirms an uptrend).
* Polarity: A broken trendline can switch roles from support to resistance (and vice versa).
* Green trendlines generally act as resistance, while red trendlines serve as support levels.

### Support And Resistance

Enable Support and Resistance via settings to display blue and pink zones. When price reaches these levels, a bounce is likely. If the price is above the zone, it indicates buy orders placed there (support). If the price is below the zone, it likely contains sell orders (resistance).

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/Cpfx4srG1n8VorRozpCS/tiqsr%20575a4e374e3c2c52663c249f8a29bca2.png)
:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                        *Support and Resistance bounces*

Users can:

* See labels for higher and lower level values (useful for TP or SL).
* Adjust the color of levels and the maximum number of zones displayed.

### Predictive Ranges

Predictive Ranges provide a real-time price action range on the chart. Price may find support and resistance at these levels. Adjust the length used to detect the range (default 50 bars; reduce to 10–20 for more frequent ranges). These ranges are useful suggestions for stop loss and take profit levels.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/PgqK3f2giBwy40CH7tlZ/prtiq%20fdc0d46b2784be0768ef422b6b4c3087.png)
:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                              *Predictive Ranges acting as Support and Resistance*

### TIQ Breaks

TIQ Breaks display X marks where market structures have been broken. This feature visualizes popular SMC concepts.

* Red X: bearish break of structure (support or pivot broken downwards).
* Green X: bullish break of structure.

Traders can use these levels as confluence or cautiously consider them as signals.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/8ubbxxwNiU2i9KY5FvoI/tiqbreaks%20066c81d7e5a74de14371e91fc8e8af57.png)
:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                             *Bullish Market Breakout*

### TIQ Profile

The TIQ Volume Profile provides deeper volume analysis. The left side shows relative percentage of volume at each level; the right side displays actual traded volume. Green values indicate net buying (bullish); red values indicate net selling (bearish).

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/0ChrHOcOCg1gQZiftnVF/tiqprofile%20d9fa61e634ca2c6f8ad2a113895b0351.png)
:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                          *Readings on the Volume Profile*

Settings and usage:

* Length: number of bars to analyze (default 250).
* Position and number of bins (levels) can be adjusted for granularity.
* Look for peaks in volume as areas of support/resistance; low-volume zones may indicate “no man’s land” where price may not respect SR—exercise caution.
* Optionally toggle a histogram to break down volume per bar and enable a moving average to detect volume breakouts.

### TIQ Tracer

The TIQ Tracer provides trend-following confluence:

* Orange colors indicate an uptrend.
* Purple indicates a downtrend.

It can filter signals and serve as a support/resistance zone where prices often bounce. Use MTF functionality to bring data from other timeframes into the chart via the dropdown menu.

## TradeIQ Oscillator

The TradeIQ Oscillator combines predictive and trend-following methods. It has two main components:

* Foreground oscillator (purple and green) — displays bullish/bearish waves and can predict reversals.
* Background oscillator (green and red) — classical trend-following histogram.

Background histogram usage:

* Green bar: uptrend.
* Red bar: downtrend.
* Histogram above 0: uptrend; below 0: downtrend.
* If histogram is above 0 but turning red, momentum is fading and a reversal may be impending.

Combining both oscillators allows trading both predictively and reactively. Settings include automatic divergences and optional overbought/oversold zones to provide additional reversal suggestions.

# Overview

The ChartPrime Strategy Builder offers traders an innovative, structured approach to building and testing strategies. The Strategy Creator allows users to combine, test, and automate complex strategies with many parameters.

### Entries using the Strategy Builder

Customizable Buy and Sell Conditions

The Strategy Creator provides flexibility in establishing entry and exit rules, with separate sections for long and short strategies. Traders can combine multiple conditions in each section to fine-tune when positions are opened or closed. For instance, they might choose to only buy when the indicator signals a buy and the Dynamic Reactor (a low lag filter) indicator shows a bullish trend. Users are able to pick, mix and match the following list of features:

* Signal Mode: Select the type of assistive signals you are requiring. Provided are both trend following signals with self optimization using backtest results as well as reversal signals, aiming to provide real time tops and bottoms in markets. Both these signal modes can be fine tuned using the tuning input to refine signals to a trader's liking. ChartPrime Trend Signals leverage audio engineering inspired techniques and low-pass filters in order to achieve and attempt to produce lower lag response times and therefore are designed to have a uniqueness when compared to more classical trend following approaches.
* The Dynamic Reactor: provides a simple band passing through the chart. This can provide assistance in support and resistance locations as well as identifying the trend direction expressed via green and red colors. Taking a moving average and applying unique adaptivity calculations gives this plot a unique and fast behavior.
* Candlestick structures: analyze candlestick formation putting a spin on classical candlestick patterns and provide the most relevant formations on the chart. These are not classical and are filtered by further analyzing market activity. A trader's classic with a spin.
* The Prime Trend Assistant: provides a trend following dynamic support and resistance level. This makes it perfect to use in confluence or as a filter for other supporting indicators. This is an adaptive trend following system designed to handle volatility leveraging filter kernels as opposed to low pass filters.
* Money Flow: with further filters applied for early response to money flow changes in the market. This can be a great filter in trends.
* Oscillator reversals: are built in leveraging an oscillator focusing on market momentum allowing users to enter based on market shifts and trends along with reversals.
* Volume-Inspired Signals: determine overbought and oversold conditions, adding another layer of analysis to the oscillator. These appear as orange labels, providing a simple reading into a possible reversal.
* The Volume Matrix: is a volume oscillator that shows whether money is flowing into or out of the market. Green suggests an uptrend with buyers in control, while red indicates a majority of sellers. By incorporating smoothed volume analysis, it distinguishes between bullish and bearish volumes, offering an early indication of potential trend reversals.
* The True 7: is a middle-ranking system that evaluates the strength of a move and the overall trend, offering a numeric or visual representation of trend strength. It can also indicate when a trend is starting to reverse, providing leading signals for potential market shifts. Rather than using an oscillator, this offers the unique edge of falling into set categories, making understanding it simple. This can be a great confluence point when designing a strategy.
* Take profits: These offer real-time suggestions from our algorithm on when it might be a good time to take profit. Using these as part of a strategy allows for great entries at bottoms and tops of trends.

:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                         *Availible options for confluence*

Note that each of these features may have additional settings such as MTF functionality.

The system is symmetrical meaning that users can set both long and short contitions with the same conditions if needed. By disabling all of the entry conditions on either long or short areas of the settings will create a strategy that only takes a single type of position. For example; a trader that just wants to take longs can disable all short options.

Check out a showcase of the strategy builder below:

{% hint style="info" %}
Sometimes more confluence isn't always better. Adding 100 conditions can sometimes make the system less likely to fire and doesn't always result in better profits!
{% endhint %}

Duel Purpose Features

Using features such as the Dynamic Reactor have dual purposes. Traders can use this as both a filter and an entry condition. This allows for true interoperability when using the Strategy Builder. For example Dynamic Reactor Bullish Signal is when the reactor turns green and at that instant the condition is true. However Dynamic

### Layered Entries

Layered entries, a feature to enhance the uniqueness in the tool. It allows traders to average into positions as the market moves, rather than committing all capital at once. This feature is particularly useful for volatile markets where prices may fluctuate substantially. The Strategy Builder lets users adjust the number of layered entries, which can help in managing risk and optimizing entry points as well as the aggressiveness of the safety orders. With each safety order placed the system will automatically and dynamically scale into positions reducing the average entry price and hence dynamically adjust the potential take profits. Due to the potential complexities of exiting during multiple orders, a smart system is employed to automatically take profits on the layered system aiming to take profits at peaks of trends.

![seeker.png](https://content.gitbook.com/content/myc14XOmM1AnU0oU6yQE/blobs/2OWctcRjgziAfXrV15Aq/layered%2090ce9ac1a5453015a404618e7a7111c3.png)
:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:
                                                           *Layered entries in action*

Users are able to override this smart TP system at the bottom of the settings instead targeting percentage profits for both short and long positions.

The ability to adjust how quickly the system layers into positions can also be adjusted via the layered entries drop down between fast and slow mode where the slow mode will be more cautious when producing new orders.

# TP & SL

The Strategy Builder allows traders to set their TP and SL levels according to various parameters, including ATR (Average True Range), risk-reward ratio, trailing stops, or specific price changes.

If layered entries are active, an automatic TP method is applied by default, though traders can manually specify TP values if they prefer. This setup allows for precise control over trade exits, tailored to the strategy’s risk profile.

The ability to use external take profits and stop losses is also provided. By loading an indicator of your choice the plots will be added to the chart. By navigating to the external sources area of the settings, users can select this plot and use it as part of a wider trading system.

See some TP and SL examples along with external sources below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=albM4dF7Q64>" %}

Watch on YouTube: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=albM4dF7Q64>

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: Let’s say a user has entries based on the inbuilt trend signals and wishes to exit whenever the RSI crosses above 70. They can add RSI to the chart, select "crossing up" and enter the value of 70.
{% endhint %}

Users can select TP and SL conditions for short and long signals separately which allows for added flexibility. For example, creating a biased strategy can often be effective. Take an asset that goes up generally (e.g., NVDA): you may want a less tight SL on long signals because, statistically, the asset tends to climb more than it falls. Therefore a user may wish to widen the SL for long trades and have a tighter SL for short trades.

# Presets & Backtest Window

ChartPrime includes a range of preset strategies developed and backtested by ChartPrime’s team. These presets give traders a stable base to adapt to their preferences. Keep in mind that historical performance does not guarantee future results, and pre-built configurations can become outdated as new price action arrives. They are intended as example use cases and starting points, not guarantees of future success.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Be mindful of overfitting when adapting or relying on preset strategies.
{% endhint %}

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7spyof0g1g>" %}

The Strategy Builder includes backtesting capabilities, allowing you to review how different setups would have performed over specified time periods. Traders can:

* Select start and end dates for backtests to target specific market conditions.
* Adjust the backtesting window to focus on particular price action or time periods, which can help create a more robust system.
* Choose to NOT trade on selected days of the week (useful to exclude possible large market events).

Results can be reviewed on TradingView to see how strategies perform across different market trends.

# Leverage & Compounding

### Reinvestment Functionality

The reinvestment option allows traders to reinvest a portion of their gains into future trades, increasing trade size over time and benefiting from compounding.

For example, a user might set 30% of each trade's profit to reinvest, with the remaining 70% allocated for risk management or additional safety orders. This approach can enhance long-term growth while balancing risk.

Generally in trading it can be a good approach to take profits so we suggest a healthy balance. This setting is generally best used for slow steady strategies with the long term aim of accumulating as much of the asset as possible.

{% hint style="info" %}
Einstein once said "Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world" and this equally can apply to reinvesting gains into a system.
{% endhint %}

See how to reinvest below:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=albM4dF7Q64>" %}

### Leverage

Users can configure leverage and position sizing to simulate varying risk levels and capital allocations. A dashboard on the interface displays margin requirements based on the selected leverage, allowing traders to estimate trade sizes relative to their available capital.

Whenever using leverage especially with layered entries it’s important to keep a close eye on the position sizes to avoid potential liquidations.

# Example Strategy

## Example Strategy

Consider a trader who is focused on long positions only and prefers a lower-risk strategy (note these tools can be used for all assets; we are using an undisclosed asset as an example). Using the Strategy Builder, they could:

* Disable short conditions.
* Set long entry rules to trigger when both the ChartPrime oscillator and Quantum Reactor indicators show bullish signals.
* Enable layered entries to improve average entry prices by adding to positions during market dips.
* Run a backtest over a two-year period to see historical performance trends, making adjustments as needed.

The backtest will show where entries and exits would have occurred and how layered entries may have impacted profitability.

Below is a live demo on how to design and build a powerful strategy:

## Iterative Design

Strategy builders and creating a strategy is often an iterative process. By experimenting and using logic, a trader can arrive at a more sustainable system. Analyzing the shortcomings of your strategy and iteratively designing and filtering them out is the goal. For example, let’s say a strategy has high drawdown: a user would want to tighten stop losses to reduce this and find a balance point between optimizing winning trades and reducing the drawdown. When designing a strategy there are generally tradeoffs and optimizing while taking into consideration a wide range of factors is key. This also applies to filtering techniques, entries and exits and every variable in the strategy.

If a strategy is taking too many long positions in a downtrend, filtering these using built-in trend-following tools can be a great approach; refining with logic is also effective.

The Strategy Builder also takes into consideration those who seek to automate, especially via reinvesting and leverage features.

{% hint style="info" %}
The ChartPrime Strategy Builder aims to help traders build clear, rule-based strategies without excessive complexity. As with all backtesting tools, it's crucial to understand that historical performance doesn't guarantee future success, and traders should be mindful of overfitting.
{% endhint %}

This tool offers a structured way to test strategies against various market conditions, helping traders refine their approaches with data-driven insights. Traders should also ensure they enter the correct fees when designing strategies and ensure usage on standard candle types.
